CONSIDERING PARTNERSHIPS
In Question 4 of the Survey, respondents were asked if they were considering the utilization of the private sector in providing water/wastewater services? Of the 157 respondents that do not currently have a water partnership, 14% are considering utilizing the private sector. Of the 160 respondents that do not currently have a wastewater partnership, 11% are considering utilizing the private sector.

The most common privately provided water services being considered are: Meter Reading; Billing and Collection; Treatment Facility O&M; Design and Construction; and Distribution System O&M. This held true across population categories.

The most common privately provided wastewater services being considered are: Meter Reading; Billing and Collection; Biosolids Management; Design and Construction; Treatment Facility O&M; and Collection System O&M.

Compared to the overall response for wastewater services, small communities are considering utilizing the private sector more for Biosolids Management and Industrial Pretreatment.

Medium communities are considering utilizing the private sector less for Biosolids Management and Treatment Facility O&M.
