Fluor wins $500M contract with Kentucky Utilities

City of Industry, CA -- Fluor Corp. (NYSE: FLR) has received a $500 million contract to install emissions control equipment for the Kentucky Utilities Co.

Fluor will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the installation of four new gas desulfurization systems at KU's Ghent and E.W. Brown plants in northern and central Kentucky. The FGD systems will reduce sulfur dioxide emissions at the coal-fired plants and allow KU to provide greater value to customers, the company said.
