Is United Water back in the game?

The Terra Grande water system in Boise, ID may be bought by United Water if approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.

The owner of the water service, Barbara V. Child, is selling the water system, with about 117 residential customers, to United Water. Terra Grande´s customers live south of Overland Road, east of Milwaukee Street and north of Targee Street in Boise.

United Water plans to cap the four wells that currently serve the Terra Grande system and switch its customers to United Water supply.

The company is also proposing to charge Terra Grande customers a flat bi-monthly rate of $54.29 until meters can be installed. The current rate is $14 a month for the eight non-summer months and $26 a month for the four summer months.
